Mitch Damp - Sales
President and Founder
With over 20 years of experience in both ferrous and non-ferrous metals operations and marketing, Mitch held several senior executive positions in other companies before founding MD Metal Recycling Services in 2015.

Mitch is a graduate of Western Illinois University, with a Bachelor in Operations Management. Mitch also holds an MBA degree from Xavier University.

Stuart Edelman - Industrial
Stuart has over 40 years’ experience in the scrap metal business, and is knowledgeable in all grades of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. He was the owner of S. Edelman & Company in Chicago for 34 years.
Penny Burchfield - Demolition and dealer
Penny has 30 years’ experience in the scrap industry. She is knowledgeable in both ferrous and nonferrous metals dealing with both the retail and wholesale sectors. She has experience in car crushing, trucking and the roll-off side of the business as well as demolition.
Susan Sandstrom - Administrative & Logistics
Susan's past experience as an office manager in construction and her experience with the trucking industry has given her the skills to fit into the administrative and logistical needs of the scrap metal business.
